For those unfamiliar with blogs, they are another mechanism via the Internet for sharing text, photos, and other information; and they allow anyone to post comments, thoughts, or even participate in a joint conversation about a particular topic(s) - sort of like a conference call -- only via text.
I created this blog by using Blogger.com, a free but reputable site from what I can tell. Please feel free to visit their site for more details or to start your own blog.
I'm taking advantage of this forum to say hello and welcome to any new or returning visitors to our site. I (Carla) am the "tekkie" in our house when it comes to software, so I developed and maintain the site for sharing news and information, and I welcome you all to post, email, send text and photos, etc.
Who says it has to be time-consuming and expensive to stay in touch? One of my favorite things about the Internet is that if you already have a service provider, then there are many things you can do for free. No pricey cell phone or other phone bills required. And I love the fact that online options make it easy to stay in touch with those in different cities or even time zones - because we can all respond as our schedules and interests allow. How cool is that?
